Beach Walk

Went on a beach walk this evening, found some interesting stuff! There was a rocky area with the rocks covered in barnacles, tide pools with little fish and lots of hermit crabs, and some larger crabs. Then there was a foot long slug like spiky animal thing, I know what it is, do you?

no i don't know what it is. TELL ME PLEASE! We got our first snow today in Cedar Rapids. It was an inch deep! We made snowmen and had a snowball fight. It was awsome!

Giving away the answer wouldn't be any fun! But I will give you a clue: it is classified as an echinoderm. I don't miss the cold weather too much, but a little bit of snow would be nice! Enjoy it for me!

My class guessed a catapillar or an eel. A few wondered about a snake or giant leech (eww!).

I'm with Tara - eww! You do have me curious enough to go look up echinoderm though!

I think that I know what it is BUT don't tell Tara's class!

Is it a Sea Cucumber?

How are you? We are all fine we have snow and wind and a little bit of ice. That sound great doesn't it. I was working on guessing on the sea creature, but I had to work so it was00 hard to research it. Talk to you soon.

Take Care
